She popped to the toilets and I seized the moment, ran out into the car and put my foot down. You've never seen a Micra move so fast.

Love it!!!! HAHAHA!!!!!

I met my girlfriend on match dot com, that was 2 & 1/2 years ago and she's still here!!! My mates use Tinder and most have had not more than the odd naked photo, one is in a relationship with a former Tinder lady, not sure how long it's going to last though :S

Very true about the "I'm carrying one or two extra pounds", usually means the only exercise they get is from the use a mobility scooter to hit the local McDonald's!!!

I met up with a (few extra pounds ) girl and she was huge :( but pleasant . I met up with her in Solihull so a good 20 miles from me and I can safely say we never met again.

Lucky escape ;)

The pro dancer I met up with in a pub was stunning and within 2hrs I was in her pants lol . It lasted a month and then I met my wife to be in a club :) and she's awesome .

I never thought I'd pull her as I was 29 and she was 18 but at 3 years later on she's expecting my child and she's still awesome

Muddy matches if you like the country girls, shooters and horsey types .....

Depends on the region, my last dalliance on there still had profiles on it from a much earlier expedition. Can be very slow.

I know a few people who have, in fact one has recently got married aged 40 (first time, both with no kids) and they couldn't seem more suited for each other. As Mungler said, they were using a site which had some reasonably intelligent matching criteria.

I do believe however that there is a massively different dynamic between 'first time around', and 'second time around' dating. I guess many people who are looking to put down some serious roots have already exhausted the pub/nightclub/friends/evening classes/sports clubs/anything else to try and meet people and are going into Internet dating with a serious desire to settle down and start breeding pretty fast. Inevitably, even on a first date, there is going to be a huge elephant in the room because if both people are in the same position they both know damn well where they want it to go.

Whereas, I think if someone is already been married, has kids, there could be a whole myriad of different reasons why they want to Internet date. It could be anything from seriously looking for husband/wife number two, right through to just wanting to have a bit of fun, a bit of intimacy, and not to pass every Saturday night cooking an omelette for themselves and masturbating.

Like me.

It is reported that a third more of internet marriages end in divorce within a very short period of time. Its also reported that divorce amongst the over 60's is at an all time peak as aspirations not met result in a kamikasi type approach to later years. Pass me the rice wine !

I'm not surprised at all Kes. I think the 'triumph of hope over experience' element is not to be underestimated in many cases. Just because you think you want something to happen doesn't make it the right thing.

I heard the divorce rate in the over 60s is often caused by women finally waking up and seeing the lazy, complacent slob they've been waiting on for 30 years for what he really is and chopping him in for a better model.

Would have thought an omelette is the last thing you'd want after chucking egg white all over the gaff.
