EoinGalway
fair play John, can't get over the numbers of greys lately, first year there are more common than mags!! have 12 in the holding cage at the moment, nice to finally have a bit of decent weather to trap them.. Peter_HMR
Have seen once or twice john happened to me with the .22wmr hit the bird see the feathers bird gets up a flys off a bit. They must have amazingly strong feathers. Another time was out and only had clay loads in a grey fly overhead bang feathers bit of a tumble flys on bang bigger tumble and the last shot to take him down but they were light loads thank god for the semi. That will teach me to buy the cheap stuff.

Poacher
I believe they fly on like that because the shot isn't deforming inside the bird, i.e causing internal damage. sometimes the shot can pass right through and the birdie carries on as normal until a few seconds later (which can be 10-100m's) when it eventual cops it... Vegeta
some very nice work John. Is it just the greys you are targeting, there's a distinct lack of other crows or are there just that many greys about?
