new to the flock
With the exception of fox I must say that I do love eating all of the above, with the Ruffed Grouse as my favourite game bird. However my all time favourite is antolope, followed by cariboo, whitetail deer, moose, wild boar, mountain sheep, bear, mountain lion, buffalo etc.
Hammergun
For me, it's got to be woodcock!! PS has anyone ever eaten fox? I remember reading a book some time agoo which described a Victorian eccentric who set about eating just aboout every animal native to the UK. I seem to remember that he said that most were edible, except moles and flies which had an unpleaseant bitter taste!!
ollie
I can't believe you left out woodcock and snipe, they are by far my favourite game meat, although i would eat any of the rest except for fox.

Hammergun
It might have been slugs or something else other than worms. It was so long ago when I read the article I can't remember.

Wookie
I remember being stunned the first time I tried Moose. My uncle-in-law (professor of surgery in Finland) is on the Finnish moose culling list and gets one or two every year. With any luck, I'll get to take one at some point soon. It's a superb meat. The fillet is such a fine meat with almost no fat and a taste to die for. And the sausages..... I'd eat them all the time if I could! NGhost
The guy who ate everything, only disliked Moles and Blue Bottle files. (I think he liked fox!) I was going to try fox but the last one I shot was so manegy that I could not bring myself to pick it up, let alone eat the thing.
