Old farrier
Hi OF, I know what you mean. They shoot kid loads with kid size lead, won't let the dog pick up, drive miles to get there are can't eat what they shoot. Clay pigeon killers appear to have some serious deficiencies. Not a 'sport' for me. B06 It's worse than that B06 They don't even wear a tie 😗 Have a good day tomorrow All the best Of
Beretta06
Had a great day - but rather chilly. No tie?? Animals! I also realised they have very bad eyesight and reflexes! You and O, stand on our pegs and then see birds and shoot hem. Not the clay killers! They have a wierd dance, where they insist on balancing their barrels on their shorpes - I guess they need lighter guns, or visit the gym - and can't remember where the clay plates come from. Instead of looking for it, then killing it, they have to ask for one to be thrown in their direction each time. I wouldn't mind, but the plates follow the same path each time! Clearly, they have dome serious issues, I suggest we avoid them at all costs. And, I heard a rumour that they wear baseball caps!!! The world is clearly mad in the world of the clay disc killers. B06 They have also turned the ejection of the empty cartridges into a sport of its own , from what I have seen it matters not if you miss the plate becaise you are awarded points from 1-10 on how fancy you make ejecting the empties look . Once you have received your points for ejecting your empties you then get to bend down and pick them all up to put in the bin . The occasional plate shooter such as myself often makes the silly mistake of placing my hand over the ejectors to catch the cases so they can be put straight in the bin losing points in the process

I had only done clays 3 or 4 times before the charity day... :-). My other half wants to do it this year, she's so far done clays 2 times but is quite competitive when she gets going - and it's all good fun. shaun4860
Northern Mods? I think I maybe the only one (that will come back and bite me) Where possible Teal tries to accommodate people who wish to shoot together. So Bigbird you can shoot with whoever you wish Part of the fun of the day is shooting with other PW members, Yes it's about raising money for charity but its also about the Craic.....enjoying the day and meeting other members you wouldn't normally get the chance to meet, The night before (for those staying over) is also a great event....... Come along and enjoy it It's not about the scores or who wins (well that's what we said when the south won ), its the day.

shoot and be safe
Sorry to revive a old topic. I have received the email below (as part of the sweepstake I am running at the moment, for a day on the Crown Shoot) from Orchid thanking me for the money raised. I only came up with the idea. It was down to you, the people that took part in the auction and follow up ideas. So this email is for you all. Thank you Mark. Hello Mark, Thanks so much for getting in touch! I had seen that large donation come in via the PW page and had been in touch but never heard back as I wanted to thank whoever was behind it. Turns out it was you! The sweepstake sounds like a great way to raise some additional cash through the shoot and if you need any materials, please do let me know! Will you be taking part also in the shoot this year? Thank you again for your amazing and continued support. Best wishes George
