Penelope
That's a genuine pic, the video footage is even more spectacular (?) it a feeding station somewhere and was feature od Country File some time ago. Wow, is that a genuine pic'? Unsustainable surely?
Scully
I've seen the Red Kite feeding stations along Loch Ken on my way to New Galloway and Dalry a few times, but never anything like that.
Chris Bb
There's a feeding place where you'll see that every day; you can just about set your watch as they all arrive knowing there's free food to be had. It's on the A44 east of Aberystwyth between Goginan & Ponterwyd. A fantastic sight.

shootnfish
I have seen 4 around this area in the last 6 /8 months. First was a pair when I was working in Great leighs , then one flew over when I was in my garden then one a couple of weeks ago while I was in Billericay, doing some fencing at a bird of prey center funnily enough, the bloke who runs it said he has seen it a few times. rimfire4969
This picture looks familiar the sad part is you told me were it was and i cant remember, is it Llanthingy in mid Wales at the feeding station or Cornwall None down here that I know of in Cornwall, the photo was taken by me at the feeding station just outside Rhayader Mid Wales, one of my favorite areas in the world. Vince Green
I must have seen twenty on Sunday driving from London to Oxfordshire, I observed them a bit more carefully this time, on the motorway they are circling the verges of the motorway as you would expect and in the country they cover the hedgerows. There was a lot of road kill, it being spring and all, but they were leaving that to the crows as far as I could see. What I would say is they seem to have displaced the smaller birds of prey that used to be found on the sides of the road.
steve_b_wales
Red Kites have slowly worked their way down our valley's. A year ago, they were flying over farmland that is approx 3 miles away. A few days ago, there was a Red Kite flying above my house, which is in a town, and yesterday, my mate said that there were 3 flying around the same area. Brilliant birds, and a lovely sight. arjimlad
Birders are reporting seeing them over Bristol nowadays. I've not seen one up here yet, though. Plenty around Oxfordshire/North Wiltshire area though.
