theredfox
The air rifle bill became law in June and will be implemented by April or May next year phoned my licensing(Strathclyde) they do not know anything as yet surely the government should of made all the rules before it becomes law more red tape to go through looks like they will be giving information a bit at a time and then everybody will need to rush to get your air rifle on a ticket and
Sha Bu Le
Police Scotland I believe were not in favour of this legislation, they have neither the manpower or the will to administer it. However they will have to unless its farmed out to Group 31/2(!). In the months if not years it takes to issue licenses to law abiding people who apply, will they have to store their air rifles with a RFD at their cost. I know the PW missive don't know, no one does, what an ill considered piece of legislation. It is however a perfect piece of political knee jerking bull poop thanks to (I assume) Caesar Salmond
Blackpowder
I have posted elsewhere that the Minister in charge of the Wild Fisheries Review, did not know the significance of what happened to salmon at sea. Unfit for purpose, unfit to govern. Blackpowder

rovercoupe
Would you be able to store the guns south of the border and then if the license ever turns up you can then go through the tight security of the border and legally get your guns? K Mac
My one will be turned into an FAC so it has nothing to do with Billy Smarts Circus (Hollyrood) that way I only have two licences to get not three and our Dear Leader the Dictatorship can go @#%€ them selfs

m3vert
I am now considering applying for FAC for exactly the reason K Mac has suggested. Why bother to apply for a license for a sub 12lft gun when I can apply for a FAC and have the better stopping power! I will however need to look into how best to do this as FAC has never really interested me before!
psycho
I thought the baboons in the houses of parliament were bad but the monkeys north of the border are worse....however the main question is who votes for these primates
K Mac
I for sure did not vote for them. I was down south in the Army and didn't get a vote. No one I know will admit to voting for them but some fools did. I have heard that an Airgun licence will be more intrusive than an FAC. Westminster control all powers of that. K Mac You obviously keep sensible company. Regrettably I know all too many numpties who did vote for them, alarmingly many of them are smart people or at least I thought they were. LeadWasp
One of my suppliers is a rather vocal Natwit.....do I re-assess him as part of my quality processes in regards to management competency as well as health and safety (i.e. shouldn't be out on his own)? Haha I know the temptation would be there for me to do that. I sympathise with your plight.
