teal27
Does anyone have any problems with the escort chokes? I've been using 1/4 and 1/2 and missing a fair few ducks than I use to! Does anyone use after market chokes in theirs?
landy george
Mine always shot low. Make sure you get the right thread as mine was a Friday afternoon one that was a different thread to most of the others.
teal27
I have noticed after a few shots they work there way loose and have to re tighten it
henry931
Try on a pattern plate? Shoot off a rest and aim it like a rifle and you will see the point of impact (i.e. is the gun/choke throwing the pattern off). This is not the same as gun fit. If they are loosening your could try cleaning the threads, applying grease and do it up quite tight with a tapered wrench. Maybe mandel make chokes for them? andrewluke
i'm pretty sure that hatsans chokes are the same dimensions as beretta mobil chokes, could be worth trying beretta chokes as these will be better made,my mate had a hatsan semi-auto and he shot the choke out the barrel

Harnser
Mine always shot low. Make sure you get the right thread as mine was a Friday afternoon one that was a different thread to most of the others. I think you will find that they are all made on a Friday afternoon . teal27
Mine shoots fine and no jams at all so if I can sort another choke out and its ok it'll be a good gun tbh Edited September 10, 2015 by teal27
E.w.
I've shot 100 plus bags with one good hide gun, I can only add to what Harnser says after taking one to bits and I mean bits it was made on the Friday but in a garden shed. landy george
Try shotgunchokes.co.uk Just remember your thread may not be standard

Mobil chokes may work but they may leak causing a bulge.

Yes Mandel make some wonderful chokes for Hatsans.
hambone
Hatsan use 3 different size chokes two of which look identical. I bought one that came with 5 chokes only 2 of which fitted, had to try quite a few until the correct ones were sent too the gunshop. teal27
Listening to all the bad reviews on hatsan chokes makes me want to get the thread measured and have a few made properly!
flynny
I've had benelli, browning and aya shotguns, I now own a hatsan, stop worrying bout chokes. As has been said pattern it ( I've never patterned any of my shotguns) if required, just shoot it and get used to it.they all fire a 12g cartridge that goes bang, but they are obviously not as well made as the benellis etc, fit is also important so I'm told ( but again I've never had a gun fitted) Put the shot in the right place and down they will tumble, Atb Flynny
