stuartbrierley
went out today with les searching for pigeons and found a decent flock on a very large stubble field and watched them for 20 minutes the birds were not bothered about the motors and just landed back down again as we drove past we decided to set up at the far end of the field away from the footpath and some horses in an adjacent field we started about 10 ish les got the decoys set up + 4 ff5 it was a bit slow so les decided to bag the bottom of the field were the pigeons were earlier the results started almost straight away with pigeons comeing in steady they seemed to come then slow down then start again we packed in about 3.30 ish with 140 pigeons picked 2 crows 1 magpie 11 ferals + about 6 wood pigeons which just made it to a masive wood at the back of us it was a lovely sunny morning and we just missed the rain in the afternoon as we were packing in the birds were still droping into the decoys in large numbers Edited September 22, 2015 by stuartbrierley

JDog
A good day. Had you stayed longer you may have seen a strong late afternoon flight. I have noticed of late birds heading out to feed from 4pm onwards.
