Hendrix's rifle
Hello, I know this topic has been covered previously however my question is does someone fancy making one for me? I will obviously pay for parts+labour. It has come to my attention that when I do something if it isn't done straight away it gets put on the back foot :L also not sure on parts/cables. If anyone is interested just tell me how much thank you all

Hendrix's rifle
It has begun. All parts are ordered, kpc e700 cam, 4.3 inch lcd screen, battery pack, relivent connections and some 'floplast' pipe as it appears to make it that bit easier. Thanks for the help all

secretagentmole
Have a look on Facebook for Nightvision UK, they supply set ups for around the £150 mark....
ghosthunter
They are an easy build once especially if you dont hard wire it and just use plugs and hide them in the project box with the batteries. I made mine about a year ago and http://####.com/was a source of great information and hep. Good luck and enjoy the build!

mick miller
Does no one find these set ups, with the screen so close to the eye, uncomfortable to view and overly bright at night? I only ask as the old NS200 I had I had to dim down with acetates and that was mounted much further down the rifle, much as Dave's done with his spotter/ add-on. I think I may also struggle to focus on something that close to my face? The concept looks good but surely that screen should be further down the rifle, near the turrets? Snap - I can't focus on them very well at all if they are in front of the turrets. Might be my old eyes are the problem lol. EDIT: Darn dyslexia lol. Correction: I can't focus on them very well at all if they are in front of the turrets (as in nearer to my eyes than the turrets). Might be my old eyes are the problem lol. Marki
Same problem. I'm moving the screen further up the gun. Shouldn't need much more than a torch mount that fastens to the scope.
Davyo
i had the same problem when i brought the sreen forward in the one piece unit (old eyes) couldnt focus on the cross hairs.I had to carry my reading glasses on me, the i played around with a slr diopiter (adjustable) which ment I could focus the crosshairs to my old eyes. Also ment that there was no more face glare as it was a near eye unit.Got some pics on a thread somewhere. Longbower
Same here , couldn't focus on the screen without glasses, which then 'fogged up' , My lad said 'from across the field my ugly mush was lit up like a Halloween mask. Tried a photon, which needed another £100 worth of ir an doublers etc , so went back to a red torch . Ah old age , great innit?
Hendrix's rifle
I'm trying to de size the pictures of mine but due to new phone failing miserably! The screen is bright on mine as well how ever I bought a folding one that I can move to where I want it. I'm going to try a filter on it to see if it makes a difference but I'm chuffed with its performance!

mick miller
No, I get you Dave. This is why I went down the near eye display route. Sure it adds about another £120 to the build but much easier on the eye and no bright face.
