Scully
Was on one of our driven days today and the ex-keeper ( not professional, just part-time after retiring ) was shooting. I've never known him shoot and wasn't even sure he had a gun, but when I saw him with a slip over his shoulder this morning I asked him what he had in it and out came this pristine Winchester Model 23 Pigeon Grade! Still tight, still sharp chequering on POW stock and fore-end and he has the original Winchester emblazoned cardboard box it came in! He is thinking of selling it and I've asked if he will give me first refusal! I'm gonna run out of exclamation marks shortly! Maybe.....just maybe. You're right, but he's been retired for a few years now. High drool material! Yes indeed; came up really nice too.

That's the first thing that came into my mind when I found the box, and yes, you're right; they're all there in their green and white boxes. The batch code is 1/07/08 !! I was 48 when they were boxed!
