nicknsd1978
Thought I would pop up to nottingham gun club today for a quick shoot...it was absolutely rammed. With me shooting on my own allot of the time I don't like it when it's too busy. Was going to pop over to cocketts farm but with never going before I thought it was a little cheeky. Does anyone know of any small shoots that happen around Nottingham. I'm not an over serious shooter I just enjoy getting out with my gun. I either do skeet or sometimes sporting
B725
Cocketts Farm will not bother that you have never been before they will be happy to let you shoot.
Danger-Mouse
You should have gone to Cockett`s, they`re very friendly and welcoming. We`re infrequent visitors but they always treat us very well when we go there.
nicknsd1978
kinda kicking myself for not going now....instead just went home. Does it get as busy as what nottingham gun club does?
Danger-Mouse
It can be busy, especially the sporting. Best option is when you arrive immediately book onto whatever you want to shoot and then grab a cuppa. Everything is escorted so you sometimes have to wait for a trapper. I believe there is another shoot somewhere in Sherwood Forest but I can`t give you any more info than that. I dare say a quick search on Google will dig it up. And there`s Orston but I would imagine that`s quite busy on a Sunday.

berthaboo
May be a bit far for you but east midlands shooting ground is a small club. They have a Web site if you want a nose
ajh
Cockett Farm is a good shoot. Other alternatives are East Midlands, Lowes Lane, Orston, Langar, Borders Wood, Hoton, Quorn, depends how far you wish to travel.
nicknsd1978
I'm going to give East Midlands shooting ground a try.....it's only about 15 mins away from me can't believe I didn't know it existed. I'm just hoping they have some of those jumbo extra large clays for me to try and hit
labstaff
There's a little straw bale club which meets every other Sunday at lumb farm just outside ripley. I think its called castle shooting club (don't confuse it with the air gun field target club at hucknall).

Chr!s
What really happened to Style Hollow Shooting Ground, near Ollerton? I used to shoot there a lot up to 8 years ago..... About 3 years ago was taken over and upgraded by new management with focus on disabled shooters, but they had to close a few month back due to complaints of noise pollution I believe.
