stevewall968
I've been approached buy someone living in Germany that wants to buy a shotgun that I have for sale. Can I use an RFD for this or is there some other convoluted process that needs to be followed? Steve👍
robbiep
More trouble than it's worth. If insistent on selling to this person, then there are RFDs which specialise in import / export. Not cheap, however.
webber
Unless the gun is something special, it really isn't worth all of the agro that you will need to go through. webber

Kalahari
William Evans in London will also help with this. They have a german speaker on the staff who sorts out all the paperwork. Why not talk to them and see what they say and charge? http://www.williamevans.com/ David.

stevewall968
Thanks for all the responses. I will get a couple of quotes from the two companies mentioned. If it does proceed then I will post the level of costs for the information of others on the forum. Steve

stevewall968
The deal didn't materialise, but I did get a cost from LGS for exporting said gun to Germany, it was a slightly eye-watering £600. I spoke to WIlliam Evans and they were very helpful and put me in contact with another specialist shipper called PDQ, based in Crawley. Kalahari
Glad William Evans helped. Most of the people I know who use them have good things to say about them. David..
Whitebridges
Blimey and I thought we were in a free European State. It should be a thirty quid RFD transfer should it not?
