mattyg1086
Going to look at a two 16 week old springer bitch pups what should i look out for. Do i pick the biggest and most outgoing one or what ive just oucked the one i liked best before but that was with my pet stafffies and id like some advice. The gamekeeper i know once bought the runt of the litter from a traveller site and that dog was brilliant so i havent a clue
TONY R
Sit amongst them, obviously watching where you sit  . Watch for eye contact the one that seems interested in you the most, not too boystrous or too shy you want the quiet confident one . dont be in a rush to pick one even if the seller looks bored you need the right one you have it for the next 10 to 15 years god willing take your time. Jim Neal
Trying to work out from the pictures, how old is she? Looks 4 months or so? Has the breeder done any training work with her? Springers aren't naturally timid/nervous, I hope she's not been cowed by any unsuitable training methods. Lots of one-to-one time. Simple tasks followed with heaps of praise & reward when they do the right thing. Unfortunately, character traits set into a dog very early in its life can last forever, hope it hasn't been "broken" :(
oowee
She looks great. There is no rush with these things.
