Has this been recently threaded?

Has the moderator been changed recently?

What made you check and find the clipping?

Hi iv been trying to zero it as the rounds are all over the place i was talkeing to a gunsmith he said check

the end off the mod which i did

Could be a number of things, check to see what it's like without the mod on to narrow it down.

These things don't just happen there is normally a reason ie screwed the mod on and jammed the threads up or knocked it, do you store it with the mod left on? If so the crown could be damaged with moisture etc

Hope it's a quick and easy fix

So is it a new moderator? Or have you recently had it threaded?

 

Reason I ask it will help us understand if it's moderator or barrel based.

 

If the threading I'd new I put money on it be non concentric

 

If it's a new mod and the old was fine it's a misaligned mod.

I bought them at the same time the rifle was new already cut mod fitted at the same time but from

new its never shot tight groups

This seems to be getting overly complicated, take the mod off and try again, see what the groups are like, and check the crown at the same time.

 

There have been various suggestions about the possible cause, that should take you a long way to finding out!
