george123456789
i think i have a problem, someone bought me pellets at £2.59 for 500, the problem is that they seem a bit shoddy, i cant seem to hit the same spot twice. Now do you think this is my poor marksmanship or the shoddy pellets...i can get a grouping of 5 inside 1inch at 35 yards but the the next few pellets are wildly off mark then the next few can be back in the 1inch grouping!? What shall i do?? Any advice is much appreciated thanks

Barrelman
I'd be interested to know what setup your using I have a HW77K only had it a few days but trying to establish which pellets suit. I've never shot air rifles before and in my first 20 pellets at 30yds I got grouping of 3". obviously net good enough for vermn bu a starting point. I had some old air arms pellets and the quality of them was terrible compared to the RWS hard-h-points i have bought. the RWS pellets are all identical but they are holow tipped so I know they wount be very accurate at range, I'll be interested to see which pellet you settle on

Foxer
I have found that all SMK pellets are total rubbish and the spitfires were remarkabley rubbish Now i only use AirArms, Accupells or RWS superdomes the three best imo
njc110381
What gun are you using? Wasps are ok, but if you're keen I'd try some better brands like Crossman, Air Arms, or H&N. Even the very good pellets are only £5ish a tin, that's 1p per shot. Well worth it in my opinion
Ferret Master
Go for accupell or air arms field and ignore the rest. FM

If I'm remembering right, I read that they're the same pellet as accupels. Have a look sometime, you may be in luck

The relatively long lock time (time from when you pull the trigger until something happens) combined with slow mussel velocity means you need to keep steady for longer after you pull the trigger to be accurate. This is why people say, if you can be accurate with a springer you are in a good position to do well with any rifle
BSA Shaun
Buy one of those mixed sets of pellets and sit and try them with your gun until you find the ones that suit. You may have a really **** set of pellets there so try another and see how the results differ, you need a bench mark. AND "does a Skoda drives well a Jag?" Yes it does, just bought one. Dad has a jag which he is now selling for an octavia. Proof is in the pudding my friend

Conygree
So what are chap pellets Lets hope you never make a gramatical error sonny .........I'll be watching from know on! Simular to bent or camp pellets but under the sex equality act we can't say that anymore. one a serious note Marksman vary in diameter when measured = poor grouping so can pellets of good quality that are too small for the bore i.e. In my HW90K powa pell won't group but will in an other gun they will. Rascal
AA's and RWS superdomes are good, I used to love the Webley Mozzies (hard to find now). I have Just tried some BSA Storms and found them very consistant at about 25 - 30yds cheap too at a fiver for 500 in .

TIMMYFISHFINGER
cheap pellets are just that...cheap. dont go there. For a few quid more buy the better brands. Saying that the air arms ones i bought to try were garbage!! At least 5 in every 20 were warped and odd shapes. Best pellets ive found and will only use now are RWS and H&N... the nuts!! Bisleys wont fire in my XL so ive passed on them. You'll soon find some you like but do spend a few more quid!!! Top quality them H&N's, couldnt agree more, worth every penny (and pigeon!!) does a Skoda drive as well a Jag? skodas drive better than jags try some hn field target trophy
Lord Geordie
As a Kid the Eley wasps were a cracking all rounder but then i moved on when i went PCP and started with the H&N pellets as well as a few others and H&N stuck. The FTT worked and grouped excellent in EVERY gun i owned. For .177 i USED to use Crosman premier but they went downhill fast so i moved onto Bisley Magnums and they are again an excellent pellet! RWS pellets H&N Bisley mags Penetrators All worked well but the Milbro / Wasps / Bulldog / Spitfire / even those nasty prometheus were all naff. Of course the GUN also makes the difference If your shooting a SMK you would be better off turning the thing round and CLUBBING your quarry to death! fiiish1987
Different rifles have differnt tastes but a good banker is to buy crossman accupells. Spitfires are great if you melt them down and make fishing leads with them.
