Gordon R
No wish to minimise it, but people injured or killed in road traffic incidents are rarely reported and far outweigh those involving firearms. I wonder why.

roadkill
No wish to minimise it, but people injured or killed in road traffic incidents are rarely reported and far outweigh those involving firearms. I wonder why. because the public expect that people will get hurt by cars, what they don't expect is people getting shot so it will always make the news. I bet in the states if three normle people not cops get shot, i bet that don't make the news there

ShootingEgg
What like Nice for example??? So how many times can you recall something like that happening and being reported in the news, now count gun crimes that were intentional... If every car fatality was to be reported it would be everyday.

Livefast123
RIP to all those involved and strength to the family, friends and helpers. Humanity seems to have lost the plot at the moment. According to police a shotgun was used. Edited July 19, 2016 by Livefast123

BrowningB525
Weapon not in legal possession according to latest police press release. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-36842915 This is a small relief. In a statement, police said the "provenance of the weapon used is an active line of enquiry". Officers also said they could "confirm that the deceased was not a shotgun certificate or firearms licence holder".
ShootingEgg
Slightly concerning that he was able to aquire one though. it is probably very easy to get one if you know where to look and who to ask.
norfolk dumpling
If he wasn't a certificate holder then this suggests a degree of planning and premeditation. All over the breakup of his marriage it seem -so sad.
bostonmick
As is usual in these type of cases all the neighbours say what a lovely man kind and helpful. Well I see none of that in anyone who can deprive his children of their mother and sister because of his selfishness.if it was as has been suggested he did this because of his marriage breaking up then it would lead me to believe he was more of a controlling person than anything else.street angel house devil.i hope the mother and daughter rest in peace and he suffers in the pit of hell for eternity. four-wheel-drive
In the end we are all humane and as such we do good stuff and we do bad stuff that will never change having a gun just makes doing bad it simpler to do bad things but there are many other even worst ways to do bad things I am afraid its very sad but that is life. bostonmick
What rubbish, he might have been a bank robber and had it in the loft. Some people should write fiction ! He was a delivery driver for a local builders merchants so could not have been a bank robber as the banks would have been closed by the time he finished work.😉
