bluesj
Yes that is why a dead on up side down can pull them in, I've often shot one and his mate has come back to see what's happened
Sha Bu Le
I don't think so but penguins do, being a very gregarious and very family motivated species when one of their number dies they dig a hole in the ice with their very tough feet/claws. Then gather around the ex penguin and sing. Freeze a jolly good fellow then kick him/her into the hole and fill it in. OK I know it should have been in jokes but the devil made me post it. Hat and coat on.

ShootingEgg
If crows did then decoy patterns arent needed.. Also ive not seen crows come in to and upside down one when I've been shooting.. Quite the opposite infact. It seems to spook them

bornfree
Try shooting one with a 22 rimfire with sub's from a well hidden position on a windy day so they don't hear or see anything apart from one of them drop dead. They go absolutely mental they hover over the top of the dead one cawing like mad.
