everycal
Hi. Does anyone know where I can buy (or does anyone have any for sale) the spreaders that go into rotary arms or bouncers? Mine are Gunked up or broken and don't want to have to buy whole new flappers/rotary arms. I means the bits with a screw to tighten the piece and then two spreaders with crocodile clips to attach to the wings! Thanks. Luke

wymberley
Some folding/crocodile clip spreaders have no metal thread inserts - just plastic threads. Some fixed spreaders seem designed for a rotary with 1/2" diameter arms. These also rely on about one threads worth at best cut into the sleeve. Because I shoot on stony ground the welds on the bottom of my bouncer poles finally let go. While getting this sorted at my friendly local car body shop, I also had some nuts welded on to the spreader sleeve and then Araldited a piece of dowel into it and drilled a hole more suited to the arm diameter. Much improved.
motty
I don't wish to be too hard on A1 decoys, because I think their aftersales service is pretty good. However, recently bought some wing spreaders. They were delivered without the thumbscrews... They sent some very quickly, but the threading was poor, so I couldn't thread them properly, stripping the threads etc. The weld quality on the V was poor also. They sent replacements, so fair enough. The flapper I bought is ok, just the ground spike fittings etc are not up to standard.

Kelda
Search Wing Spreader V Section on our website. They are made in the UK - so good quality and robust as you would expect.
Redm0002
Lots on EBay, probably from some of the suppliers listed above. You can look at the pics to see if they are what you want. Some are in auctions rather than Buy It Now. So you could save some money.
