JDog
Out and about early today I just get the feeling that this could be the perfect day for pigeon shooting, especially in the north. Lots of fields have been harvested and the straw baled, pigeons seem to be switched on now to barley and rape stubble, it is going to be partly cloudy and dry, but the exciting part is that there are going to be 15-20 mph winds. Pity then that I am on domestic duties all day.
maxwell
Agreed, a good forecast, it is 20 mph presently on the Kestrel wind meter. I have my gear ready and the bailer kindly agreed to stack and leave me a couple in the middle of the field so fingers crossed

maxwell
Well I had a fair afternoon in the wind, set up after watching the flight line across the middle of the field yesterday I was in the hide for 1 o clock as soon as the bailer left the field, I shot a couple of nice crossing birds in the wind and finished on 34 picked, I dropped a few birds off for the bailer to say thank you, he was happy.
