winnie&bezza
I was tempted and looking at it with serious view it probably would work as a static decoy. The only problem is you need to press a button to make it do its thing.

winnie&bezza
I`m sure you could wire up a remote control unit for it. That's something I'm not up to. It would be a good field sports tv feature, 'decoying corvids with the Aldi Halloween crow'. Edited October 12, 2016 by winnie&bezza

Well tbh I couldn`t do it either, although I have a mate who could. That would be a fun feature. If I had the land and the camera I`d be tempted myself. mr smith
Yeah use it along side two crow decoys,it stands on a base handy for on top of fence posts.
fortune
Dead simple to modify the wiring. All you need is a length ( Say 10> 20 yards of lightweight 2 core cable and a switch. As long as you can get to the wires that go to the switch on the crow. its only batery powered so no great voltage involved.

A mate of mine made some clay traps remote control for only about £5. They were good for at least 40-50 yards, easily enough for decoying. I'm intrigued. If only I had a camera and could work out how to do a video as I would do one. blade
Having the crow doing its thing without the sound as a decoy is ok.But if you have the sound on it becomes illegal. Not allowed to use recorded sound to attract birds unless its to photograph them
bruno22rf
How would a court be able to prove that any bird you shot was listening to your decoy? On our way to Tesco's my other half chats constantly but (apparently) I don't listen to a thing she says .

clanchief
Sainsbury's have some decent flocked crow decoys in for £8 for Halloween, and strangely some small blackbirds cheaper
