spandit
Drone Pro seems highly regarded but the Yukon is cheaper and has good reviews too
Zetter
Do you want to go dedicated and tie up one rifle for NV duties or an add on and keep you day scopes Edited October 18, 2016 by Zetter
P1andy
Thanks for replying, no not really wanting to tie a rifle up really.
mick miller
Add on then, of the commercials Wardy is the best (still not as good as mine) otherwise dedicated it wants to be the Drone Pro.
Zetter
What Mick says really Ward D 800 as an off the shelf model or a home build from someone. Tubed you can look at an Archer but the money is a lot higher. A drone Pro is great but it will tie up a rifle.

mick miller
Yes, most of the parts now are common knowledge on the NVUK forum but the camera remains, for want of a better word, secret. It's all in the camera. The downside of mine is you must be able to dim the torch as the camera is so sensitive that short ranges can white out easily. Either flood the beam, use a smaller lens for close up work. At 80 - 300 yards though it's brilliant and I can ID foxes/ hares out to 500 yards without much trouble. steve d
Has anyone found a UK based lcd screen seller on the bay? All the ones i can see, say the item is UK based, but the seller account is based in China or Hong Kong and from past experience this usually means +2 weeks for delivery with apalling communications. mick miller
Care to submit one for an independant review? Sadly, I don't have a spare £500 kicking around to build another one and my two get used all the time. Maybe if I find myself up your neck of the woods one day? Besides, I have zero interest in selling them. Mind you, if you wanted to do a magazine article about home build nv, which for a lot of folk would be interesting perhaps, I could think about a loan of one once winter is over? telf
mick did you ever re-design your cube
mick miller
No, not yet, I spent year waiting for the printer manufacturers to supply their much lauded dual material head. Last week I sent my printer back to have the updates made. I await its return, when it does I can finally print parts as I want, with removable support printed at the same time, the previous version had all sorts of compromises because of the limitations of 3D printing without support. This winter I'm reworking the design to strip out the torch and dimmer but add in a couple of extra things and make it more compact /easier to assemble and smaller.
