Scully
Dabbled with the guitar as a kid and again when daughter was learning, which went well for a while, but working away meant I got left behind. Would dearly love to get back into it and have just tuned my guitar using a mates Snark ( great little tool ) and had a gander on youtube. Some good stuff on there i have to admit. Have left it a little late for enrolment in night classes this year, but in the meantime can anyone suggest anything i should be looking at? Ta. Adge Cutler
I play Bass not as good as I used to due to Arthritis in one hand .... Give it a go its very therapeutic. Only 4 strings too. You may get as good as this guy.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDKDdVilQT4 A good bass rift is the foundation of any good song (Correction that should say I played Bass, haven't had the Yamaha out of its sleeve for some years and sold the amp) Edited October 20, 2016 by Adge Cutler

Walker570
Perhaps a post 50 PW band...what about "Scully and The Cripples" Cripples ?? Nah Scully's shooting is better than that surely. Scully, I had a chance to learn piano when I was about 12 years old. I lived on a 220acre mixed farm and our next door neighbour, my Uncle had another 180.. 400acres to wander around with air rifle, 410, catapult, bow and arrow ...now why would I want to waste time learning piano. I'm now 76 and realise what I missed. Go for it and enjoy. How about "Scully and The Zimmers" Edited October 20, 2016 by Walker570

Adge Cutler
No. Absolute beginner. That leads me in nicely to the late lamented David Bowie and the equally brilliant Gail Anne Dorsey on Bass.

CaptainBeaky
Take a look here Scully - He is very good - http://www.justinguitar.com/ Another vote for Justin - he's very good, tutorials are well paced and easy to follow. He has a set of "absolute beginner" tutorials on his site as well.
