andypaint
Hi. Just asking the landrover folk for some advice. I've seen a 90 200tdi 1992 k, reg with 85k on the clock, raised suspension, electric windows, resprayed 2014, also had a galvanised chassis installation 2014 with loads of new stuff and 2005 bodywork update. Bloke selling it said to make him an offer. Thanks in advance for any help.
la bala
Its a problem pricing something you cant see. At the end of the day what is it worth to you. Hope you have a good deal.
andypaint
It looks to be in very good condition. But it's the fact the chassis and bulkhead is now galvanised that is appealing. But I've no idea of price because of it. New seats, and interior also
Fuji Shooter
I would say between 5 and 6K more if it was a
keeper96
The fact that it's been built into the chassis doesn't actually increase the value that much, a good one of that age on the road but rough bodywork would be about 3-4K An absolutely mint one with no marks and everything as new about 7k max In my opinion. Pictures would help more though
Fuji Shooter
I'll sell you my 90, 300TDi for 8K if you like Edited November 23, 2016 by Fuji Shooter
la bala
Get yourself a Landrover Owners magazine, it always has a price guide for models and years, it will give guide price from basket case to tiptop condition. After you have read that it will still come back to what you are willing to pay.
ditchman
if the engine is an original 200 model...not a disco model....just the engine is worth £1300...........make sure it is not a disco engine with the turbo on the downside ......200 def's have the turbo ontop of the engine........... sooty 54
It also depends on who has done the work to it ,and to what standard . I know people who have bought "restored " Land Rovers and ended up breaking them for parts . Sorry for being a killjoy .
figgy
Whats the difference between the two 200 tdi engines,i didn't realise that there was more than one gemini 200 tdi's . Edit just had a read online, the Defender engine shares more parts with the older naturally aspirated diesel. landy george
Whats the difference between the two 200 tdi engines,i didn't realise that there was more than one gemini 200 tdi's The discovery engine has the same look of a 300 (turbo down the side) & the defender engine has the turbo on top (can be seen as you open the bonnet) as ditchman said Edited November 25, 2016 by landy george
bostonmick
Personally I would not play that game.the seller knows full well what he will be prepared to take for it.they are just hoping you might make a higher offer.ask him for a definite price if he does not want to there are plenty of good examples out there for sale
figgy
Offer him £1500.00 wait until the colour in his face goes back to normal and ask, what are you asking for it.

Edit just had a read online, the Defender engine shares more parts with the older naturally aspirated diesel. Defender 200 has slightly more torque, Discovery 200 has slightly more HP. I had a Defender which had been re-engined with a Discovery 200 TDi engine, no problems.
