Sco77w
I'm looking for some carts with smooth outers to the case to try in my mag fed semi auto but everything. I seem to find has little ridges down the length of them. 28 to 30 gram 6-7.5 shot and that don't break the bank, using them for PSG so use a lot. TIGHTCHOKE
The good OLD Winchesters were compression formed and smooth!

dodeer
You won't be able to find any compression formed cases now days.. Winchester stopped producing them years ago. USA must have them still ( unless a bulk was stored) because at a friends shooting club they still use 32g 8 AAs in compression cases. matone
Victory use an almost smooth case, there is very slight ribbing tho`.Finding old Winchesters will be a bit difficult I think !
deershooter
Fichocci Top one are smooth cases but only 67 mm best bet is to go to a CPSA registered ground and look in the bin this will tell you what's what . Not sure why you don't want ridged cases the ridges are there to allow less pressure per unit area so should eject much better
HDAV
I use fblack from fiocchi which are smooth I think and slightly longer
HW95J
+1 for Victory. I think their 'Sporter' clay cartridges are completely smooth and pretty sure Starlight is also. Could always use paper if you're able to source them for an ok price?
rovercoupe
Got a few boxes of the winnies left, seem to keep acquiring them!
dodeer
Victory Rocket and Starlights are pretty smooth. Those Winchesters above bring back some darn fine memories. Wish I had stock piled a few pallets

figgy
Why do they need to be smooth for PSG? Is it a speed loading issue or faster ejection or feed
TIGHTCHOKE
I can just see all the PSGers sitting polishing their cases!
figgy
I can just see all the PSGers sitting polishing their cases! When you see the modding work they do to their shotgun in order to load faster and eject quicker, even polish the mag tube and spring. It wouldn't surprise me if they polished the carts with Carnuba wax to gain an edge.
pinfireman
Got a few boxes of the winnies left, seem to keep acquiring them! So did I...I have about 1500 AA from circa 1975...and they still perform brilliantly! Plus I have about 300 Remington RXP.....which were always my preferred cartridge!
