kyska
DE shaver here converted about 3 years ago Edwin Jagger DE89 Green Astra SP blades for me. Taylor of Old Bond Street - Sandal wood cream Synthetic badger brush from: The Body Shop (I have a true badger brush too which lathers better but the synthetic has stiffer bristles which get into my stubble better for me ! No looking back now, shaving is cheaper and better, no in growing hairs for years now ! Cant recommend enough converting to DE shaving ! Similar, but I use feather blades, Buy a decent brush, if you get a brush hair on your face and run over that with a de blade you'll know about it. You'll never look back OP. figgy
Edwin Jagger de 89 barley twist easy to grip and only feather blades will do. Sharper than a sharp thing and give a fantastic shave. Use a brush a body shop one will do it's what I use and my very expensive Badger hair stands looking all nice and fluffy also Taylor's of Old Bond Street or Trufitt & Hill or Geo F Trumper shave cream take your pick of whatever is on offer. Don't press the razor to your face just let the weight of the razor rest on your skin and stroke it across you skin. Best shave you can have safely if not versed in open razor use. cuffy
Edwin jagger , wilkinson blades . I use any old soap/shampoo or bodywash whatever's handy . I've tried the posh creams and soaps and can't tell the difference .
daveboy
I find my best shave is when I'm sat in the bath (jug between legs for rinsing blade) It seems to make the biggest difference when you have been sat in in steam for ten minutes. Aled
I know quite a few blokes who shave whilst in the sauna! Take from that what you will. Cheers Aled

bazzab
bazzab - surely if you use a 5 bladed razor then as the first blade gets blunted the second becomes the main cutting edge and so on until all 5 are no longer comfortable to use? I use Aldi 5 blades with a Razor Pit and change the blades when I get bored. Kind of a point... but... your then dragging Blunt blades over your face surely only going to irritate it bud?
