fatchap
Hello chaps wondering if anyone on here knows where I can get 1"x30" zirconium belts for my clarke machine?. If I live across the pond, purchasing them does not seem to be a problem. I need 80g and 120g and possibly 400g. I was told Axminster tools do them but after a rather embarrassing phone call to them it was clear they dont. Amazon-nope! ebay-nope! Anyone point me in the right direction? thanks

Walker570
Try Abtec, Wisbech. They seem to do a big range of belts.
E.w.
Look up abrasive belts on eBay there are plenty.
CaptainBeaky
Look up Abrasives for Industry: they will make up any size you want, any grit, with a big choice of belt types. I've just had a pack of 36 grit ceramic belts from them, and they are pretty good. The factory sent the wrong length to start with - one email later, and they delivered another set by next-day courier. Haven't asked for the others back either... CaptainBeaky
Actually, the "wrong ones" are 30" x 2"...

fatchap
Thanks for the replies and useful info chaps. I may have to get them made as there is a 2mm difference between what is available from Abtec and Drake tooling and what will fit my machine. figgy
Get wider width whatever is available and cut down, cheapest option you get more belts for your money.
