kody
A beretta 686 or a browning 525 30 inch barrels which would be the lighter And are the 525s made in Belgium Thanks in advance
shaun4860
The 525's are made in Japan but none the worse for that, "The Browning B525 is built by Miroku who began building sporting arms in 1893 and in 1965 they began their long relationship with Browning. As well as making guns under the Miroku name, they have built all of the more affordable Browning over and Unders" http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/reviews/shotgun/browning-525-shotgun-review Totally different in handling characteristics between Browning and Beretta

billytheghillie
I had a 686e sporter and traded it in for a 525 game 28in barrels. The beretta is a good gun, but I found I shoot better with the 525. Would advise that you should handle the two of them.
clakk
Ive got a 686 whitewing ,light as a feather ,just remember its a lovely balanced shotty but its LIGHT so recoil may be an issue for some

figgy
Better still find a nice 687, forget recoil modern pads from both Berettas micro core and Brownings Inflex can negate most of it. When I bought the Sil pig iv I could have had a better deal on a shop display 525 with full ten year warranty, I just prefer the handling and looks of the Beretta. Handle and if possible shoot both. figgy
Glad you found a gun you like. Not many like both b guns as the feel and handle differently.

bruno22rf
As said the 525 is made in Japan but don't let that put you off - you will struggle to ever put any appreciable wear on it, but far more important is that you try both guns before you decide, it may be a strange phenomenon but some people who shoot Browning's simply cannot get on with it's Italian competitor and the same applies the other way round - in short you may prefer the 525's build quality and reputation but shoot far better with the Beretta.
