Walker570
snap! Well done . I had four carrions today with my 410 and some new reloads. They didn't like it one little bit.
Dasher
6 shots .5 birds . I wish my averages were as good with my 20b I'm much the same, I guess that knowing you only have one shot of limited load and distance really focuses the mind on only taking sensible shots. Ultrastu
That's exactly it . And boy did those crows and pigeon fold in the air .
yickdaz
6 shots .5 birds . I wish my averages were as good with my 20b try a 100 carts through both you mind find a different result
Walker570
The 410 will kill, you just need to be able to put the bird in the pattern and shoot cartridges which work in your gun.
Rimfireboy
The 410 will kill, you just need to be able to put the bird in the pattern and shoot cartridges which work in your gun. And there lies the rub.......
Ultrastu
Well I've found, all I need to do is limit my range a bit so instead of taking on birds out to 40 yds with my 20b .I limit the .410 to about 30 .
Ultrastu
Had 11 more crows and 3 pige Loving this gun .

Walker570
You do know that you are de bunking the wide held theory that 410s are useless and will not kill anything over 10yrds. Keep it up
Ultrastu
I was nearly in that camp myself until I got this yildiz . Guess I was wrong . To be fair i hit at least 4 crows today around 30 yds that would have folded with my 20b . But hit em at 20 yds and they don't stand a chance . A great hide and better decoys are the key . I'm really enjoying the challenge and the single cart really makes you hold the shot till its just right .
Cranfield
Some good results and nice pics. .410's can be very efficient in the right hands, I think they are under rated by a lot of shooters. My old Webley & Scott bolt action .410 (I think everybody has owned one) was choked full and together with Eley Fourlong cartridges could kill out to quite impressive distances (on good days). I passed mine on to a nephew as a starter gun and now his son has it. I was tempted a few months ago, when I saw a nice clean example in a gunshop for £90. Ultrastu
I had one of those a few years ago . I couldn't hit anything on the wing with it .but for squirrels running cross the tree tops it was great. Like u said very tight pattern at long range .it hit the squirrels hard. Also a bit slow to load I found.
Mice!
Is it not really unwieldy to handle? Just looks really long?
Ultrastu
No .It's so light and the mod on the end actually helps keep the barrel swinging when following a bird . It's 52 inches long so about the same length as my 20b hush .
