evolution380
I'm off to the Cotswolds tomorrow for a few days shooting and general relaxing, and will be staying in Fairford. Whenever in a different area I always like to try have a look at the local RFD's. Searching google there seems to be quite a few RFD's popping up for Gloucestershire in general, some look well established / others don't but some great old school RFD's i've been to aren't geared up online as it's all word of mouth and good service and have better stock sometimes than RFD's that look great online. Anybody live in the area and can advice on one of the best to visit whilst in the general vicinity? Ideally i'll probably go and have a look at a couple of RFD's and may treat myself to a pump/semi so don't want to waste my time and effort travelling to an RFD that most people in the know would avoid for instance. Any suggestions much appreciated

Westward
Closest to you in Cirencester and quite friendly is: http://cotswoldshooting.co.uk/Guns-for-Sale.html I've never visited this one in Swindon but they are well thought of: http://www.wiltsrodguns.com/ Depends how far you feel like traveling. Ian Coley near Cheltenham has a huge selection as well as parking and their own shooting ground to try used guns before you buy. About 25 miles from Fairford. Libertyandlivelihood
About 30 mins from Fairford you will find 'Francis Lovel & Co' in Witney. Have used a few times and always great service and a lot of knowledge.

oldypigeonpopper
hello, i might add that if you read this, swindon shop is ok but limited parking, lovells is good with own parking, coleys have the best range of all RFDs mentioned plenty parking, and worth to haggle a price, and you can try a few clays

evolution380
Thanks all! A days shooting today and will be doing a little driving Tommorow and see where end up.! Sounds like Coleys & Francis Lovel & Co will work with plans the best however will try and find an excuse to visit other areas to pull in some of the other aforementioned RFD's. Thanks for the suggestions all! Edited October 22, 2017 by evolution380
JohnfromUK
Ian Coley has a nice set up; it isn't inexpensive, but I guess you expect that with a fancy set up. I have been to Francis Lovell's, but a long time ago (it is much further for me), but have heard positive experiences from others.
