got into the shed today...finally...

  1. ran the machine up
  2. centralised belt (for 10mins)
  3. mastic onto raiser to keep it in station
  4. marked with pen
  5. took it all apart
  6. punched marked out line
  7. cleaned it all off
  8. positioned raiser
  9. marked holes with hand drill
  10. drilled holes on drill press
  11. fitted raiser
  12. put machine back onto stand
  13. added belt
  14. ran up and centralised

belt runs spot on:yahoo:..............fiddled about to see if i could get a plunge line...which i did freehand....no probs.....the belt is a fine belt so i couldnt be bothered to stand there for ages...it is a 150 grit finishing belt....so i will order up some cutting belts at 80-90 grit........

thats all for today....next operation is the mock up of the tilting cutting bed.

my big worry was not getting to run exactly straight and true, with the raised bed...................but as it turns out its fine now....the rest is all down hill now...........the pics of the belt sitting on the raised bed was taken when the belt was running..........
