Eyefor
I was recently in the US and (for reasons that are irrelevant here) I was given a copied CD by a Swedish tenor Jussi Björling or, (for the yanks who don't know what two dots over an 'O' is), Jussi Bjoerling. I was told he is "the greatest tenor ever" and the guy can sing.. but the CD is quite hard core with songs from La Boheme, Il Travatore, Faust, Rigoletto, Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana, Manon and Don Carlo which are a tad heavy for me. If any one is in to this, then please let me know by replying to the thread and PM me your address and I will post the CD to you for free. yates
Sorry but a complete lack of culture on my part. My good lady is massively into opera and ballet and I have escorted her on a few occasions. Madame butterfly, La Traviata but found the drinks interval to be the most stimulating part of the experience. I was almost suicidal watching swan lake. But each to their own

But each to their own I agree some of it is not easy but watching Swan Lake produced by Matthew Bourne is an unbelievable experience. The swans are bloody frightening! pycoed
The difference between Paul Potts & Jussi Björling is the same as between Port Vale & Real Madrid in soccer terms?
