texas
Hi all, I got my variation through for a 6.5 creedmoor and I noticed that I'm spoiled for choice with makes and models. I have been looking at a Howa 1500 as I already have in 204 and 243. Both shoot very well indeed. Has anyone got any experience in this calibre. You're advice would be most welcome. Thanks Texas
steve_b_wales
I haven't got a 6.5 Creedmore (yet) but plan on buying a Howa 1500, as I have one also in .204. 6.5 Creedmore is a choice I have between that and a .308/7.62, and will be used mainly for target. I'm looking at the Stealth 2 Combo.

Newbie to this
Another vote for Howa. I don't have one in 6.5 creedmoor but have one in .308 again with the heavy barrel, in an APC stock. Should add it is a target only rifle. Lloyd90
Is it true the HOWA 1500 is a copy of the Rem 700? I have a slot for a 308 although doubt I’ll fill it anytime soon. Was going to book a stalk on the reds up Scotland but joined a local driven shoot this year so likely on hold for now lol.

They are very similar, but I believe the Howa is based on a Sako

rangey
I have a 6.5 cm. Howa along with my other 2 howa rifles. Never had a problem with them and all shoot better than I can. All 24 inch heavy barrel
The Mighty Prawn
I'm assuming the references to 6.5 cm are a typo or that is going to have one hell of a kick!

mick miller
Budget? Low budget, vfm is the x-bolt. Mid budget the Tikka T3x are nice. High budget, well, the world's your lobster... Sako, Blaser, how much do you want to spend?

texas
Well I just bought myself a brand new Tikka T3 CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Picking it up next week when the wildcat mod arrives. Hopefully get a few rounds put down range and get it shot in over the next couple of weeks. If anybody has a few hunting reloading formulas they would like to share. I would be more than happy to hear from you. I'm thinking about reloading 130gr sierras.
