moondoggy
He didn't say. He had it made for his father's 60th birthday in the 1980's by someone he worked with who was an amateur leather worker. The expert said the quality of workmanship was amazing for an amateur. His father used to go out shooting with a gamekeeper.

Yes I thought that too! Just a fairly short, elongated sleeve with an even shorter one sewn on the side......no shape? Fair play to the leather worker though...a nice restoration job! Westward
Multichokes weren't so common in the 70s/80s and the outer pocket was probably to carry a 2nd set of barrels with different choking.
panoma1
Can’t say I’ve ever seen a full length gun sleeve that ain’t gun shaped? 🤔

Possibly, but when I have had gun sleeves made in the past, I have used wallpaper lining paper to draw round the gun (with plenty of oversize!) as a template, and provided this to the guy making the sleeve.... This is the way I used to get pistol templates from folks but I have made long arm slips over sized to ensure carving area is sufficient when particular "picture" required.
