Mrs Sweepy
Right we had been warned that today would be the hottest day of the year.and after a very muggy night it looks like the weatherman have got it right. so we all know that means by midday all the supermarkets will have run out of most bbq stuff and alcohol. and by about six this evening nearly all of the uk will be sitting in their back gardens soaking up the last of todays sun.while enjoying whatever the man of the house has been able to find to chuck on the barbie.or so you would think .but o no i know one famliy not to far from this keyboard that will not be taking part in any such jovial jollys. NO while all you sun drench sunbathers are tucking into you overcooked offerings(why do men always have to make sure its cooked to a cinder before its safe to eat ) i shell be sharing the dinning room table with the men in my life .tucking into a very hot steaming rabbit casserole with dumplings.its more then my life worth to forget the dumplings .so please think of me while you are enjoying that last sausage. and next week if they all vote for rabbit casserole again .they might just have a revolt on there hands(can one women on her own start a revolution or will i need help ) xxxx suzy
garyb
I've got a BBQ to attend tonight. The local sausages and 2 litres of scrumpy should ensure its a good evening
Cranfield
Suzy, I have every sympathy with you, its already hot outside and there is barely a breeze, but we won't be having a nice outside barbecue later either. We have friends staying the weekend and he is an Englishman, married to a French lady, living in the South of France. When they come over, he always asks for a traditional roast Sunday dinner. So thats what we have got.

High Desert Hunter
Anybody makes it to our side of the pond, find your way to this little spot in New Mexico, I'll have something cooking on the grill, average about 4 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We enjoy about 350 sunny days per year, and I truly relish the days when we do manage some rain, snow, or even just clouds. Of course here everything has to have some sort of chile pepper in it, especially green chiles. Hope you all had a great end to your weekend.
