Miroku_Dave
Morning All, This weekends project was finishing one of my smaller knifes, as soon as I finished it, it was snapped up by a famous celebrity magician and is now on its way to its new home. Its my usual 8670 high carbon steel, it has red G10 liners and a Bocote handle. Its my first time using Bocote and its polished up really nicely, I used carbon fibre pins and lanyard tube as not to detract from the pattern in the wood. I'm using off the shelf sheaths at the minute but my boss has started leather working and is starting to make some really nice stuff. I have also been working on some new knives and sticking with a proper Scandi grind rather than my usual sabre grind. I think they're going to be sharp as I've lost half my finger tip already! Hope you like it! Dave

fatchap
Not wanting to pick fault Dave but that's a Sabre grind on there mate, A scandi is a taller single bevel, A sabre is shorter and more shallow hence the double grind/bevel on your blade, But as usual sir very nice work!! Yes mate, I was saying i'm making some new knives with a sabre grind which i haven't done before, I haven't finished those yet though. I'm a bit wary of how thin to take the edge on the grinder though! I've bought some Japanese sharpening stones so I can have a play with the edge and see what happens
