We are never going to agree, i know what i think is right ans you clearly dont agree. So NEXT question, DAMAGE that needs essential Action to prevent it must be done by Some pigeons. Lets see these Saved fields of WHAT? and BAGS of Pigeons that Clearly Were damaging ? SOMETHING.

Not according to a TVP FEO, they cannot and will not guarantee you will not be fined or worse for shooting as crop protection.

pigeons don’t live on nothing i have a perm drilling peas this morning in a couple of days i expect a phone call and it won’t be to shoot pigeons eating fresh air

Not sure I totally understand what that’s about, but if you’re asking me to post pictures of damaged fields and the dead pigeons which have caused it, then I’m afraid I can’t as apart from a two hour wander around with my gun about a week ago, I haven’t been out shooting. 

I have a mate who’s been out, but he doesn’t do PW, nor as far as I know, has he taken any pics. 
Perhaps you could ask someone who has actually been out? 
None of this however, means that I won’t go out if and when the opportunity arises. Like I’ve repeated countless times; you can’t get more isolated than a field. I’m at less risk out shooting than I am at work. Like I said, each to their own, and apply common sense rather than hysteria or emotional rhetoric. 👍

I know several police forces are taking this line,  some one posted similar info from i think it was a yorkshire police authority last week. they were along similar lines.

These are difficult times, and if brought to task on the decision to go out shooting, And dependent on the clarity of evidence you present to the police on making your decision might decide if your fishing or shooting come the end of the lock down. If damage is being done, then the world needs to see it, any shooters here will be responsible and only be going out if absolutely essential.

 The world needs to see what responsible shooters do in a pandemic protecting hard hit crops and ensuring food to feed us all in the future.

 Its our time to show the good we are doing right now. can we really afford to miss this chance. ?

 I wont be posting any reports because i think i am serving my country better by staying home etc. BUT others clearly dont feel the same way , and Now they have a chance to Boost our Public image.

instead of wasting your time on a few pigeon shooters the parks are full of drunken idiots not social distancing you could do a lot more good reaching so many people at once to say nothing of people driving to the parks needlessly

Like I said, I haven't been out apart from a two hour wander, so can't show you evidence of anything, but each to their own.  I'm off for a walk, I think one or two others may benefit from the same. 🙂

Not the point. I am not a park sitter and sun bather. but i am a shooter. I am interested to see whats getting hit right here and now > I could have missed something over the years on this at this time of the year. and We could be seeing serrious damage being done. so lets see it.

  I am not against people who flat out are up against it, with foxes mauling lambs and Pigeons decimating crops.

  What i dont want to see is just the lads out for a go on the pigeons and getting 4.  So lets be seeing this it clearly is happening but on what crops and where.

I want to get out on foxes, itching to get a go, but not seeing any reason too at all in the areas i shoot . So wont be going.

  Some lads have been out lets be seeing it, it could do shooting a lot of good.

Or i supose harm if they got it wrong.

No i am not, it seems its fine to draw any conclusion you want when you post. But get a real challenge and your saying i am getting carried away .

 Either we got serious damage , we can do no more than protect gas guns etc zero effect. Or is it lads out playing . Lets see it. No offence here just lets be having some real facts.

doubt if you would have time to sit telling drunks they should observe social distancing i’m sure someone will oblige but my photos are firstly for the landowner to confirm i’m doing what i’m there for and second as a means to remember the day not that i am against anyone sharing theirs i just don’t do it myself

Its nothing to do with park socialising. This is shooting. I know what’s happening this time of year and what’s typically at risk. fresh drilling not under the gun. But If we got some serious damage going on for some unique reason, then lets be seeing it on whatever crop its on. We had pictures the other day. lets see some more, and reports from those out on the front line controlling for the country.

We have electric fences three sides of a 50ac wood and that hasn't stopped the rabbits, as a guess in two to three weeks a 38ac field will be gone. I've all ready explained are situation, but it was made very clear no is no thank you and good bye

as i posted on the 1st after i went out it’s not appropriate at this time to discuss the day i’m there to do a job it gets done yes i do get satisfaction from it but have no need or want to share details of shooting anything

Clearly they dont feel its prudent to be out in this pandemic. You have an answer. We can only hope others here get answers too and not Legal action. .

if anyone is unhappy the police allow crop protection they are on the phone or email as the police take a dim view of being criticised feel free not to hold back

Well in that case lets put it another way then.

IF you had been stopped, and asked Where you had been why you were shooting pigeons. do you think you would have had enough eveidence to concince the officers your services were essential to crop protection on that field. ?

If yes your probably ok to go, but its not you or me deciding whats right its a officer. and they might not be as easy convinced.

 The law is on full alert its not in the mood for suffering fools. We need to all make doubly sure our house is well and truly in order before venturing out doing anything at this time.

If you think you done everything you need to do who can criticise you. But if some one does can you back up your decision to go out. ? Thats the crux of the matter. Clear evidence that stands up to  scrutiny.

i ring 101 with details of what where and when and only turn out if asked and also refuse if i deem the numbers present when i arrive not enough to warrant setting up i’m more than covered if challenged

i'm pretty sure that we've been told if you can work from home then that's the way to go and if not then go to work,i dont think anyone could control pigeons from home so if a farmer is have problems with pigeons then they need sorting,seems ok for my son to be in the thick of it because he works in M&S(with no protection),
