One final point ,I totally refuse to deal with any company that sponsors football. Barclays bank for instance obscenely fills the pockets of these people and normal working class muggins have to pay for this.

Does no one work at Bugatti? 

Will this purchase not support a whole slew of jobs? From designers to engineers, to factory workers and sales people and delivery drivers and the people who supply and support all these people.

Should all these people do without, just because you don't like successful people?

I don't think he said he didn't like successful people.

And I very much doubt Ronaldo was thinking of the workers at Bugatti when he bought himself a new car, the point is, he could have done huge amounts of good in the world but like most of the super rich, he chose to look after number one. I'm sure trinity understands capitalism just fine, as do I, maybe you don't understand compassion?

Most definitely MP’s get more than they earn!.........Don’t look at the £70-80k salary they get.......... look at the expenses of up to £200k plus, some claim!

While I've no time for the super rich footballer's Ronaldo buying a Bugatti will do Bugatti a world of good, Ronaldo makes more money from what he advertises than football,  such is the power of social media,  I don't get it but that's how it is.

I don't really think Ronaldo is the problem, but multiply someone like him many times over and it exposes the system for what it is. While we've got pw members who likely haven't got much, doing all they can to help, some making face masks and others 3d printing visours for NHS workers, we've got most of the privileged few looking how they can exploit the system to suck more money from the masses.

I googled Barcelona earlier,  one of their players had donated 264,000 face masks or something like that, their not all bad.

As to your clutching at straws remark, please explain how a capitalist economy works if people don't buy goods or services, how do the workers get paid?

Your right although in the western world, it's the working classes that get done over.

I never said I was against capitalism, but there are huge loop holes that need closing. If there is a huge crash, then instead of punishing the workers again, the very wealthy should take the first hit this time.

You could also open this discussion up by suggesting that the Bugatti workers could be better employed if there economic skills were re targeted in producing something that is more beneficial to the wider society.  So much skill and expertise going in to producing an expensive play thing for a greedy selfish individual.

One of the Kardashian family is a billionaire for doing nothing more than modelling, endorsing products on social media and a bit reality TV. There are many people out there making huge amounts for doing very little. It's probably morally wrong but it's driven by the market and the buying public make a free choice to line the pockets of these sportsmen and celebrities.

Let's be fair though 12gauge82 and hopefully find some common ground. 80% of wages for employees and 80% of profits for self-employed people capped at 2,500 per month, is massive support for the working class. No British government in history has done anything like this.

Yes I've got to say, I'm impressed with the lengths the government have gone to with that, I'm a fan of Boris, both with his handling of this crisis to date and Brexit. Common ground indeed 👌
