Do you realise an " outhouse " in the UK usely means as outside toilet 😉

my mates dad used to walk up the path with his news of the world in hand to spend 1/2 an hour in the out house....it had a cloverleaf cut out on the door ...and he used to light his pipe up and sit on the can and puff away on his pipe .....you knew he was in there cause of the plumes of pipe smoke coming out of the cloverleaf cut out in the door...

PS never leave the toilet roll in the out house as it would get damp...:good:

It’s the same here.  I’m was originally thinking about a rain water catchment to flush it but I’m worried about freezing so now I’m thinking of doing a 4ft deep hole.

Have a read up on what we called " night soil " here in the UK many years ago . It's quite interesting  .

Well at least you have a(nother) water source on the property.  Are you on a well?

I suppose you could, if you didn't want to waste the effort of building your 'turdis', make a composting toilet?  You know, where you seperate the no 1's and no 2's.  The pee runs off, the poop eventually turns into fertilisier, which you spread in the vegetable garden.  Or just catch everything in a bucket, and whichever one of your buddies shows up to the range without any beer or food has to...carry the can.
