Lampwick
I'm in need of a good value chronograph, capable of being used over a range of weapons (pcp air rifles, pistol and centre fire rifles) Having done a deal of research its apparent some are quite obviously better than others and some are good for centre fires but useless for air rifles. Im considering buying the Pro Chrono DLX which appears to fit the bill? Any thoughts welcome Cheers Edited April 22, 2020 by Lampwick
Ultrastu
I really like lmbr . Though the shooting window is too small for arrows or catapult balls and shotguns ..outside that i think its perfect .

Ultrastu
There is a vid on line of a guy shooting through one with a cf. And the instructions mention what to do when using shotguns and cf. .There is a different setting for the higher velocities
London Best
I have a Chrony Alpha. I have used it for stuff from 190 to over 3000 FPS, mostly CF and air guns, but also shotguns. Apparently good for arrows too. Only problem is it does not like bright sunshine.
Exudate
Chrony F1 has served me very well over the years

John Gunn
a range of weapons .... Hmmm, weapons? Would they be more accurately described as "firearms" as they are described on your FAC. 😧
London Best
Quite right, Sir. Weapons are for fighting with.
1066
We have a Labradar in our club - It's an excellent bit of kit, even if a bit temperamental, but at around £600 is a bit pricy. Personally I have a Chrony F1 and used it for airgun, rimfire and centrefire with no problems. It's easy to make up a simple button on an extension lead with a 3.5mm jack to access a lot more information like ES, Average, SD, etc. Around £115 from John Knibb/Uttings and similar.
