Axion Key XM30 thermal spotter

Recommended Posts

I've just gone and treated myself to the above thermal spotter. I wasn't interested in the 'S' model. Looking forward to trying it out soon.

Agreed, there's many different ones available. I've never owned one before, so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I'll report back my findings.

Hello, how would this compare with the Pard 019 Steve?

The XM30 is a thermal spotter.

Not a patch on the Guide stuff in my opinion. The field of view is narrow and the clarity poor in comparison. The Guide thermal units (track 35 & 50) beat these hands down on clarity, battery life and sensitivity. Yes, they're a little bit bigger, but still pocket sized.

It was a no-brainer (£250 cheaper) for me. Fortunately, the place is close(ish) so I got to have a squizz through it before committing.
