Robertt
HUNTERS KNIVES These thieves scammed me and many others. I am going to speak to trading standards today but being based in the Canary Isles they may be out of their jurisdiction. TIGHTCHOKE
Is it possibly as simple as; If something is too good to be true it is worth avoiding?
Robertt
The site is well presented and extremely plausible. I only used it as what I required was unavailable with my usual trusted source. 1st and hopefully the last time I have been ripped off online. TIGHTCHOKE
A friend of mine recently fell foul of the cheap chainsaw sites. He paid £25 and got a chainsaw blade!
Robertt
At least he received something. Could somebody please put this on Stalking Directory as not member Ta. They are presently on the offensive attacking all negative reviews in an attempt to get them withdrawn. It would surprise me if we get a brand new member come onto the forum telling us how great they are. Robertt
No, debit card. They don't do Paypal which I should have clocked as a red flag. I recieved one email only that stated there'll be a delay due to re-organisation of the company. I took this in good faith which took me over the 28 day ruling. Having said that I think they are untouchable being in the Canary Isles. I put this behind me as a loss but was recently informed by the review company that they had challenged my negative review as bogus and it would be deleted and I really saw my bottom over this. I only got done for £57. I strongly suspect some folk have been had off for an awful lot more. Life's a learning curve, no matter how old you are. I now check out reviews when I use a new company. The reviews on this company are incredible and make good reading. Why the internet people havnt got shut of them is a modern mystery. It would be worth the air fare to go to Tenerife to 'speak to them'. Edited September 8, 2020 by Robertt

AVB
Is hunters-knives.co.uk? I was looking at their site a few days ago with a view to purchase. The website said they took PayPal and credit cards.
Robertt
Use it at your peril. ' About us' states Manchester based which is BS. You have been warned. Look up the reviews. The only blag ones are the positive ones. Ring the Manchester number and you get the international dialling code. But a very well presented and plusable site but it's a spiders web ! Edited September 8, 2020 by Robertt
Dougy
I have just clicked "Contact details" page not found. that raises issues with me. Robertt
Yes, your gut feelings speaks volumes. They have put so much expertise into this site that I vehemently suspect they have numerous websites in order to live the very rich party life. I am a friend of a Fruad Squad squad officer who has interpol connections. I'm confident he can connect me to Officers who'd love to fry this scumhead. The Heron
Just had a look on trust pilot you would definitely not touch these people with several barge poles joined together.

Very unlikely, the police view these things as civil matters. If they do write anything down, it'll be crumpled on a piece of paper and flicked into the recycle bin. They will say speak to trading standards, speak to action fraud and speak to whoever you made payment with. If they even do that.

Teal
To be fair the number of scams online is unreal, and so it is just not stuff the police do. There's very little disincentive for web criminals. Caveat Emptor.
Guy Sharp
Hunters Knives scammed me too! Took my money but did not ship the product. Hunters Knives is a dishonest, corrupt and FRAUDULENT company!! They are being reported for Fraud and investigated by INTERPOL.......as they span UK and Spain and EU. This company needs to be out of business and put into jail.
Smokersmith
I had a recent episode with a spare spool for a fishing reel. Eventually found a website with a good deal .. looked dodgy, but paid by PayPal and got refunded when my suspicions were confirmed.
Robertt
I would like thank Tightchoke for his constructive contrebution to this thread. Obvisiously he has studied the website in question and immediately identified as a scam site. Well spotted T/C.
Balotelli
I couldn't resist looking at the Trust Pilot reviews. The quality of English used by the seller is poor. But the English used by the "satisfied customers" is consistently very good. You might consider this to be what would be expected from the UK but the quality is too good for the average man in the street. These glowing replies look to have a common thread and written by someone with a very good grasp of English. I would have expected some of the reviews to be well written and the others, should we say, on the bucolic side. Doesn't help you much I know.
