I’m currently cleaning out loads of old junk and found a few old pics from the last 20 years . 
I thought I’d share a few . 
I’m realising I’ve not had a bad life at all .

You may forget some of them but the more you have the more will stick around for ever .Nice pictures .

I've just bought a scrap book to fill with photos and stories of my long distance walking with my boy .

I’ve also found my old scrap book out of John o groats to landsend on a c90 😂. 
ive all my grandads ww2 pics of him riding too . 
how old is your boy ? 
I cycle with my 11 year old every week and we love it

I’m to old really and brittle . I had to stop due to injuries and my walking got worse . Dad sat me down and told me I need to stop 🙈. 
now I’m cycling all the time and the only nearly 40 year old wheeling through town 😂. I guess it’s always going to remain in my brain

My boy is ten and we are walking the South West Coast path together .in short 3 / 4 day sections .wild camping as we go .

Something I used to do a very long time ago .its really nice to recreate some of my walks but this time with company .

Plan to take my dog along too .

Its got too cold now .so im eagerly planning the next section for spring .

Sounds excellent. We ride around 8 miles a night and he loves it. 
I remember all my fishing with my dad but unfortunately no pictures.

It must be catching worse than Corvid.  I have just dug out all my discs of photos back some 40yrs and four albums which go much further back. Yes, it is comforting to know you have in general had a good one, just make sure you enjoy the next 40yrs Nathan as much if not more than I have, it ain't a rehearsal.

I have many great friends ( you included) and amazing kids .

Sadly I have no photos of my motocross days, which weren't brilliant anyway. I was never better than average, unlike my lads - ex AMCA Experts. First photo is my eldest throwing his leg over the recently completed Honda CR 500AF (it needed finishing at time of photo) and the second is my youngest on a Suzuki RMZ 450 - I think at Ken Winstanley's track in Wigan. Third is youngest on KTM SX380 (fastest bike we have owned) and the last is the youngest's KTM SXF450. The lads are the nearest thing I get to riding.

I was watching your build 😁. I’d love a go on that beast.

my pics were Harrison Mx , apex , blacken heath moto duro  and the cotswold enduro series . 
I used those bikes for racing Mx and enduro through to fetching the shopping 😂😂😂😂😂.

The beast will be down the road shortly. Youngest doesn't like the abrupt power delivery, unlike the four stroke Suzuki. There is 30 years difference in the engines.

I only built the Honda to see if I could, so I have had enjoyment out of it. Previous bikes were repairs only, but this I built from scratch.

I am on the look out for a KTM SX 360 or 380 (little difference as the 380 is really only 368cc). I fancy dropping the older two stroke into a modern KTM chassis. Although I was never great, I loved the off road and on road bikes - had them since I was 14. 

I grew up with Ken Sourbutts - very well known in twin shock circles - former CCM spannerman and British motocross champion - albeit, he had to wait until he was a veteran. He should have been an international class rider, but various circumstances conspired against him and he never hit the heights that his talent merited. Still in touch with him - he has his own garage in Haslingden and still spannering for his son-in-law. He is a bit of a Montessa fan and is currently dropping a Honda CR500 into a Montessa moto-cross frame. Looking at the logistics and the potential end result, I can't see why, but that is his choice.

My cousins and uncle ride motoX over here in northern ireland, i love hearing the bark of a CR500 when I go to watch the races, they just sound so angry. Not sure if i would risk chucking my leg over one though.

They have a few KTMs but the favourites would be the old 90s era steel framed CR125s or the 1989 CR125. They have a 1977(I think) 125 motovilla and I'm dying to see the thing built.

Had three Honda CR500 steel frame versions - one I used and two my eldest rode in the AMCA. Youngest had a CR500 aluminium frame job, which he raced. He thought the power delivery was smooth, compared to the KTM 380, but has gone soft since discovering four strokes. 

 Always like the power, without expensive repairs. Went through one season of racing, with just chain, sprocket and tyre replacements. Modern four strokes are a money pit.

I would love to learn how to ride a bike. The brother in law has Husqvarna FE350, I keep dropping hints about learning to ride but I think he’s terrified of putting me on his bike (probably rightly so).

I rode Triumph 650 Police Patrol bikes back in the sixties and even then considered guys like you mental, mind being wiped up by some idiot in a Ford Popular by a driver in Coventry when I was lead bike on a Royal escort might have come close.  NO, to be fair I did admire the sheer skill. My initial course at Stafford Police Driving Training Centre at Stafford has saved my life a miriad of times.     ......  update, the guy in the Popular was taken to court for carelsss driving pleaded not guilty but the Inspector told me the defence solicitor used a deaf aid, so very soft low response then very loud response when he adjusted the feed on his aid.... you get the message

I had a maico 250 monoshock motorcrosser back in the 80s it had white power suspension and really went well, apart from the l/h Kickstarter. It had been converted to enduro spec and somehow managed to pass a mot at a very enduro friendly bike shop. I entered the breckland enduro and was going quite well until I caught a fallen tree at not quite 90° once the bark comes off these become as slippery as wet ice. Hopped the front over the back wheel just went sideways and I went straight into a tree breaking my collar bone and arm. Bike came off better with just bent bars.

My eldest lad's first motocrosser was a 1985 250cc Maico. A pig to start with the left side kick start. He had to literally jump off the floor, give it an almighty boot and pray he didn't slip. Harder to start than a CR500 Honda.

This thread prompted me to search back in our old videos. I am trying to persuade the eldest to edit the videos and get them on Youtube. If he can, I will post a link. In the main video, my youngest was racing the Yamaha YZ125 - formerly owned by the British Champion - Jamie Dobb - a rapid machine. The rest consists of my eldest holeshotting many races when he was in the AMCA Seniors, then Experts. In his first season in the Seniors, he holeshotted 13 out of the first 15 races on his CR500 Honda. I had honestly forgotten just how quick he was. Normally, the gate dropped - cloud of dust - when it cleared, he was invariably leading.
