I see where you're coming from on that... but the wych elm leaf has a wispy, pointed tip, shaped a bit like a hazel leaf.

The above pictures are the wrong shape for an English elm, and too serrated for a Huntingdon Elm.

It's very similar to the smooth-leafed elm.

It's also very similar to hornbeam too.

If I had to make a guess I'd say smooth-leaved elm.
