Another great adventure, lovely flight.Nice to see the boys retrieving well.

Weather looks like the weather we've  been having , bright sunshine and not much wind.

Still nice to have the season under way ,and looking forward to numbers of winter visitors.

Thanks again .

Thanks greylag.  Isn't it nice to think that the best days of the season are in front of us?

Some good shooting again, well done.
I also thought it was nice to see a Gadwall, I have never shot one and am not sure if I have even seen one.
I have to keep reminding myself that you are shooting over a lough, it looks just like the sea.🙂

Thanks Cranfield. Early season bags comprise mainly of mallard gadwall and teal in that order. I can't wait for the wigeon though!

Do you get Geese using the Lough?    We see more geese than ducks now on my local estuary

We do. There are a small number of residents and these are boosted by migrants but not in the numbers found on mainland UK. We don't get that many geese. 1 or 2 a season is good going for me. Many years can pass between bagged geese.
