wymberley
They’re mentioned on here in May 2003, but my father stopped shooting circa ‘96 and had been using some a few years prior to that and which were well used when he got them. These were the ones with the embossed label. Not to be confused with Chris Green’s ‘Flycoys’.

Iv got a dozen flexicoys and half a dozen max baker decoys It would make an interesting day , I have always used Flexicoys and I am sure some would have been from that era , I have renewed my poles a few times and the ones from the mid to late 70s would had been the Pinewood poles which were excellent and possibly the best ones I have used and owned , seat would had been a plastic five gallon drum and the net would had been nato , and the cradles I made myself out of fencing wire , What cartridges are you going to use ? Westley
I bought 30 at the first Southport game fair at Meols Hall in 1975/6 . I paid £25 for them. I gave most of them away to a guy off here 2 years ago. They were excellent decoys. If you pulled the cone shaped base out, inserted the wood dowel peg, then pushed the base back in, it 'inflated' them ready for use. My 2 daughters were quite adept at setting them up, as I was putting them out on the field. Happy days.

I bought mine in the 90's, I remember the wood sticks but just placed mine direct on the stubble. They worked well enough like that. Reluctantly sold them this year as I need to downsize equipment. One decoy that have certainly stood the test of time , I have had mine now for a good number of years and each Spring they get a wash and brush up with a drop of new White undercoat on the neck and wing bars , that is it for at least another 12 months , several would have have been in the grave yard by now with gun shot holes in the vital areas but they grin and bear it and still look the part when placed out and earning there keep , a sound investment at the time and no doubt still are today .
