Just picked up on your post JDog and I wonder if the Humming bird moths are predominantly attracted to red as this was on my red valerian recently. OB IMG_3113.MOV Purple seems to be the colour of choice. Valerian may be considered to be purple. Whatever colour it is Valerian is the best HHM attractor in my experience.
