fresh fish suppers

Had a free day today so we took a run up to Oban 3  hours each way to get a fresh fish supper LOL i fancied some more fresh sea produce  but it seemed rather expensive but there was a lovely big Oxfam shop and i got all there shooting and hunting books , but the biggest shock was fuel is 5 pence a litre cheaper up there

Yes they where good LOL , we used to play a game where the kids took it in turns to say left or right in the back seat we ended up in Scarborough and had to stay over

There's  a fish and chip shop at Anstruther won the best chippy in Britain yo shop u queue for up to 2 hours to get a seat in there and the take away queues right round the building 

But for cost i don't think you will beat a Harry Ramsdens shop

Expensive is relative to many things bearing in mind the waiter taking my order the chef preparing it the waiters serving it and then the washing up after it’s bound to be more costly than takeaway in a polystyrene container

Gosh it must have been the most expensive few chips in a bowl and a couple of fish fingers in England, did the waiter come with a white cloth draped over his forearm too 🤔

Yes he did and the whole experience was worth it 

far better than quing up finding a dirty table and having someone who doesn’t want to be there slapping it on the table 

It wasn’t fish fingers it was fillet of fish deep fried in homemade batter 

eating isn’t just about the food and the quantity it’s about the whole experience and the presentation 

you should have worked out by now where I was having lunch the cost of which palls into insignificance to the rest of my bill

Depends what time you go - we’ll go to that chippy at maybe 2-3pm and it’s rarely got more than a couple of customers queuing.

And an excellent fish supper it is, too 👍
