To be perfectly honest the Me262 was a bit of a disappointment.

Flown so gently, it was being treated like an original and not a new build.

When you consider that in 1944, when the real thing joined battle, it's speed was the biggest NEW thing.

Each time it went up we hoped for a fast pass, but it never happened.

Stunning shots, but you have to be there to feel the noise in your chest! I remember Yeovilton and the Vulcan with full afterburners!!

Thank you SD, loudest things on the circuit at the moment are the plethora of F35s, ever so LOUD!

Excellent photos sir. I do miss a good air show. Ok the 262 was a disappointment but it’s like seeing tiger 131 at tank fest. It only comes out to do a slow lap then gets parked up. Once it’s broke, it’s broke, and it’s the only one that’s working. 👍

I caught a documentary, recently, where they mentioned that a small number of Me262 (3/4), shot done 25 B17's in a single missile engagement. The remaining B17's broke off and returned to base.

Thank you and I accept what you say about Tiger 131, she is an ORIGINAL.

The Me262 however is a newbuild!

Interesting, I didn't catch that unfortunately.
