As long as your present at the time .If not you are in contravention of the Firearms Act .

Would you strip it down first ? Most guns unless the barrel is removable ,will need to be fully stripped to the barrel and action only .We took no responsibility for scopes or other bolt ons on any rifle we screw cut and asked customers to remove them .

Absolutely would recommend. If you get him to make a thread protector with it you think he's forgotten because you can't see it it is such a good fit.
