JDog Posted November 17, 2023 Report Share Posted November 17, 2023 Mid November is the usual time for Hazel to show their fruiting bodies. Some Birch trees have them too at this time. I am just at the foot of the Cotswolds - and despite liberal applications of road salt by the council, we have not dipped below 37 Fahrenheit (about +3 C) so far this season. There's loads of young catkins round here on the hazel but I wouldn't expect them to open until spring.
